Dr. Benedict Obhiosa is an expert in non-oil export policy advocacy with a sound knowledge in international trade and development. He has authored and co-authored several journals publications on international trade, public sector economics, and development economics. His over 15 years of work experience span consultancy, training, business research, policy advocacy, and manufacturer’s representative on non-oil export promotion matters.

Dr. Obhiosa started his working career as a Consulting Officer in business management and training, rising to the position of Associate Consultant with PAMS International Consulting. He has worked as private research assistant to a faculty at the prestigious Lagos Business School (LBS).
He has led research on global best practice on non-oil export policy in other climes as a benchmark in order to advise Federal Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in Nigeria, on non-oil export incentives and all other non-oil export promotion related matters.
Dr. Obhiosa leads sessions in training on export documentation process, and procedures, packaging, exporting under the AfCFTA, navigating cross border issues, etc. He also offers training to clients on the computation of ECOWAS Trade Liberalization Scheme (ETLS) application. He represents manufacturers on ETLS registration process and import permit under ETLS.
Educational Qualifications
He is a Doctoral Degree holder in Economics, with special interest in International Trade, from the prestigious Babcock University.
Prior to that, he has B.Sc Degree in Economics and Statistics; M.Sc Degree in Economics (International Trade and Development) from the University of Benin; and an M.Phil in Economics from Babcock University.
He has also obtained a certification in WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement and Regional Trade Facilitation Rules and Regulations, facilitated by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR).
Additionally, he has obtained certification twice in Training-the-Trainer by ECOWAS on the Computation of the ECOWAS Trade Liberalization Scheme (ETLS). He has also obtained a certification from the prestigious African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) as an AGOA Trade Advisor. Dr Obhiosa is also certified by the International Trade Centre (ITC), Geneva, Switzerland.
Dr. Obhiosa is the Chief Executive Officer/ Managing Consultant, Class of Pundit Consulting Ltd (CPCL). The firm’s client base which comprises of large and big multinational corporations has grown to over 110, since its establishment in 2017, with its core area in export facilitation.
